GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Bu araştırma hemşirelik öğrencilerinde internet bağımlılığı ile sosyal güvende hissetme ve memnuniyet düzeyi arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Bu araştırma tanımlayıcı-kesitsel bir araştırma olarak planlanmıştır. Araştırma bir devlet üniversitesi hemşirelik bölümünde 01 Mart 2022- 10 Haziran 2022 tarihleri arasında yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın evrenini bölümü öğrencileri (N=979) oluşturmaktadır. Örneklemi ise 563 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın verilerinin toplanmasında “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ile “Young İnternet Bağımlılığı Ölçeği- Kısa Formu” ve “Sosyal Güvende Hissetme ve Memnuniyet Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır.
BULGULAR: Çalışmamızda öğrencilerin YİBÖ-KF puan ortalaması 27,47±8,99, SGMÖ puan ortalaması ise 30,17±8,43 olarak bulunmuştur. İkinci sınıf öğrencilerin, ortalama internet kullanım süresi 5-9 saat ve 10 saatten fazla olanların, kişisel bilgisayarı olmayanların, internette geçirdiği zamanı fazla olarak değerlendirenlerin internet bağımlılığı düzeylerinin daha yüksek, sosyal güvende hissetme ve memnuniyet düzeyinin ise daha düşük olduğu; 20 yaşından küçük olanların, yurtta ve öğrenci evinde yaşayanlar ile ekonomik durumunu orta ve kötü olarak değerlendirenlerin sosyal güvende hissetme ve memnuniyet düzeyinin daha düşük olduğu; erkeklerin ve ailesiyle birlikte yaşayanların internet bağımlılığı düzeyinin daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.
TARTIŞMA ve SONUÇ: İnternet bağımlılığı ile sosyal güvende hissetme ve memnuniyet arasında negatif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. İnternet bağımlılığı arttıkça, sosyal güvende hissetme ve memnuniyet düzeyi azalmaktadır.
INTRODUCTION: The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between internet addiction and social safeness and pleasure level in nursing students.
METHODS: This research was planned as a descriptive-cross-sectional study. The research was carried out in a state university nursing department between 01 March 2022 and 10 June 2022. The universe of the research consists of students (N=979). The sample consisted of 563 students. "Personal Information Form", "Young Internet Addiction Scale-Short Form" and "Social Safety and Satisfaction Scale" were used to collect the data of the study.
RESULTS: In our study, the students' YIAT-SF mean score was found to be 27.47±8.99, and the mean SSPS score was 30.17±8.43. Second-year students, average internet usage time of 5-9 hours and more than 10 hours, those who do not have a personal computer, and those who consider the time they spend on the internet more have higher internet addiction levels, and lower social safeness and pleasure levels; those who are younger than 20 years old, live in dormitories and student houses, and rate their economic situation as moderate or bad, have lower social safeness and pleasure levels; It has been determined that the level of internet addiction is higher for men and those living with their families.
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: A negative significant relationship was found between internet addiction and social safeness and pleasure. As internet addiction increases, the level of social safeness and pleasure decreases.
